Kill Variance. Print Yield.
Legacy fixed-speed ventilation infrastructure is a silent budget drain that most facility directors don't quantify until it's too late. When your inline fans run at a single fixed speed regardless of room demand, you are paying full electrical draw during low-load periods, generating unnecessary heat that your HVAC system must then offset, and operating with zero ability to respond to real-time atmospheric shifts. Passive failure points compound the problem: brushed AC motors degrade on a curve, bearing wear introduces vibration that propagates through duct runs, and the absence of controller memory means every power interruption resets your airflow configuration to zero — requiring manual re-entry of speed settings across every unit in the facility. The result is a facility that is never quite dialed in, where temperature and humidity variance accumulates across the canopy and translates directly into inconsistent output at harvest.
After deploying the CLOUDLINE S10 across your duct network, the facility operates on a different logic entirely. Airflow is no longer a fixed variable — it is a managed parameter. Speed levels are set once, retained in backup memory through any power event, and adjustable across ten discrete increments without touching the fan unit itself. Atmospheric control becomes a scheduled function, not a reactive one. Rooms hold their setpoints. Duct runs maintain pressure without audible strain. The facility director's attention shifts from troubleshooting environmental drift to reviewing output data — because the infrastructure is doing its job without prompting.
The mechanism behind that operational shift is a PWM-controlled EC motor paired with a dual ball bearing assembly and a mixed-flow impeller design incorporating stator blades and hydrodynamic wind circles. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control allows the motor to run at extremely low RPM speeds without generating motor noise — a critical distinction from AC motor designs that produce audible hum at reduced speeds. The dual ball bearing construction extends mechanical service life to an L10 rating of 67,000 hours, compared to sleeve-bearing designs that degrade significantly faster under continuous operation. The mixed-flow impeller maintains 1,201 CFM of total airflow against 1,059 Pa of static pressure — meaning the fan does not lose meaningful throughput as duct resistance increases, which is the failure mode that undersized or inferior fans exhibit in real facility configurations. Maximum power draw is 255W at 2.7A on 100–240V AC input, and the unit operates within a 32–140°F ambient temperature range and 35–85% RH. The wired 10-speed controller connects via a 10-foot cord and integrates with all UIS-platform smart controllers for automated scheduling and intelligent programming. In practical terms, the CLOUDLINE S10 delivers 1,201 CFM through a 10-inch duct at a maximum of 255W and 2.7A, with 67,000-hour L10 bearing life and full UIS ecosystem compatibility.
Where This Belongs (and Doesn't)
The CLOUDLINE S10 requires a 10-inch duct connection and a dedicated 15A circuit minimum. UIS controller integration requires a compatible AC Infinity UIS controller purchased separately. HVAC load calculations should account for the fan's heat contribution and duct static pressure requirements before installation.
Engineered For
- Licensed commercial cultivation facilities with 10-inch duct infrastructure
- Sealed rooms requiring programmable, multi-speed airflow management
- Multi-zone HVAC networks with high static pressure duct runs (up to 1,059 Pa)
- Facilities integrating the UIS ecosystem for automated atmospheric control
- Operations requiring 24/7 continuous-duty fan performance with 67,000-hour L10 life expectancy
- Environments operating between 32–140°F and 35–85% RH
Not Recommended For
- Duct configurations smaller or larger than 10 inches without adapter hardware
- Outdoor or unenclosed installations outside the rated 32–140°F / 35–85% RH envelope
- Applications requiring explosion-proof or ATEX-rated ventilation equipment
- Facilities without a compatible 100–240V AC power source and NEMA 5-15 outlet
Infrastructure Note: The CLOUDLINE S10 draws a maximum of 2.7A at full speed. A dedicated 15A circuit is recommended for multi-fan installations. The fan unit dimensions are 9.81 x 15.20 x 11.30 inches (24.9 x 38.6 x 28.6 cm); verify duct clearance and structural mounting capacity before installation. Mounting hole-to-hole distance is 5.90 x 5.90 inches (15.0 x 15.0 cm) with a screw hole diameter of 0.472 inches (1.2 cm).
How It Works
The CLOUDLINE S10 is built around a PWM-controlled EC (electronically commutated) motor — a fundamentally different motor architecture than the AC induction motors found in standard inline fans. EC motors use direct current with electronic commutation, which allows the motor controller to modulate speed via Pulse Width Modulation without the harmonic distortion and audible hum that AC motors produce at reduced speeds. The result is smooth, low-RPM operation across all ten speed levels with a measured noise floor of 48 dBA even under high static pressure conditions — a performance characteristic that AC motor designs cannot replicate at comparable airflow rates.
The impeller assembly uses a mixed-flow design incorporating stator blades and hydrodynamic wind circles. Mixed-flow geometry combines axial and centrifugal airflow paths, which allows the fan to sustain high volumetric throughput — 1,201 CFM — against elevated duct resistance up to 1,059 Pa of static pressure. Standard axial fans lose CFM rapidly as static pressure increases; the mixed-flow design maintains delivery across the pressure curve, which is the critical performance requirement in sealed cultivation rooms with carbon filter assemblies, long duct runs, or multiple bends in the exhaust path.
Mechanical longevity is addressed through dual ball bearing construction. Ball bearings maintain consistent rotational geometry under continuous load and elevated temperatures, producing an L10 life expectancy of 67,000 hours — meaning 90% of units will reach that threshold before bearing failure. Sleeve-bearing designs, by contrast, rely on an oil film that degrades under heat and continuous operation, producing a significantly shorter service interval in 24/7 cultivation environments.
Speed control is delivered through a wired 10-speed controller connected via a 10-foot cord, with a separate 8-foot cord to the power plug (NEMA 5-15 Type B, 100–120V AC wall adapter input). The controller dimensions are 3.34 x 2.95 x 0.51 inches (8.5 x 3.6 x 1.3 cm). A backup memory function retains the last active speed setting through any power interruption — the fan resumes at the correct speed on power restoration without operator input. For facilities running UIS-platform controllers, the CLOUDLINE S10 integrates directly into the UIS ecosystem, enabling automated scheduling, sensor-triggered speed adjustments, and multi-device coordination through a single control interface. In practical terms, the CLOUDLINE S10 delivers 1,201 CFM through a 10-inch duct at 48 dBA and up to 1,059 Pa static pressure, drawing a maximum of 255W at 2.7A with a 67,000-hour L10 bearing life rating.

Why This Over a Standard Inline Fan
- Fixed-speed AC motors run at full draw regardless of room demand, generating excess heat and noise at every operating condition: the CLOUDLINE S10's PWM-controlled EC motor modulates speed across ten discrete levels, drawing a maximum of 255W only when required and operating quietly at 48 dBA even under 1,059 Pa of static pressure.
- Sleeve-bearing motor assemblies degrade under continuous heat and load, requiring replacement on a compressed service interval that disrupts facility operations: the CLOUDLINE S10's dual ball bearing construction delivers a 67,000-hour L10 life expectancy, sustaining rotational integrity under 24/7 cultivation environment demands.
- Standard inline fans with no controller memory reset to a default speed after every power interruption, requiring manual reconfiguration across every unit in the facility: the CLOUDLINE S10's backup memory function retains the last active speed setting through any power event, and full UIS ecosystem integration enables automated scheduling and sensor-triggered control without operator intervention.
Operator Field Note
- Weight and Structural Mounting: Verify that the mounting surface or duct support structure can sustain the fan unit's weight before installation. Fan unit dimensions are 9.81 x 15.20 x 11.30 inches (24.9 x 38.6 x 28.6 cm). Mounting hole-to-hole distance is 5.90 x 5.90 inches (15.0 x 15.0 cm); screw hole diameter is 0.472 inches (1.2 cm). Use appropriately rated hardware for the mounting substrate.
- Electrical Draw and Circuit Sizing: Maximum current draw is 2.7A at 255W on 100–240V AC. For multi-unit installations on shared circuits, calculate cumulative amperage and verify breaker capacity. Do not exceed 80% of rated circuit capacity per NEC guidelines.
- Cord Lengths and Controller Placement: The cord from the fan unit to the controller is 10 feet; the cord from the controller to the power plug is 8 feet. Plan controller placement and power outlet location accordingly before mounting the fan unit.
- Detachable Motor Box: The motor box containing the impeller and blades can be detached from the mounted frame for cleaning and maintenance without removing the entire fan assembly from the duct. Schedule periodic impeller cleaning as part of facility preventive maintenance to maintain rated CFM performance.
- Environmental Operating Limits: Do not operate outside the rated 32–140°F temperature range or 35–85% RH humidity range. Installations in environments exceeding these parameters risk motor damage and void the manufacturer warranty.
- Certifications: The CLOUDLINE S10 carries CE, ETL, RoHS, SAA, and IC certifications. Verify that your jurisdiction's AHJ accepts ETL listing as equivalent to UL listing for ventilation equipment before final installation sign-off.
Operator FAQ
Q: What circuit size is required for the CLOUDLINE S10, and how should I size circuits for a multi-unit installation?
A: The CLOUDLINE S10 draws a maximum of 2.7A at 255W on 100–240V AC (100–120V AC via the included NEMA 5-15 wall adapter). For a single unit, a standard 15A circuit is sufficient. For multi-unit installations, calculate total amperage across all units on a shared circuit and size to no more than 80% of rated breaker capacity per NEC guidelines. At 2.7A per unit, a 20A circuit can safely support up to seven units at full speed (80% of 20A = 16A; 16A / 2.7A = 5.9 units — round down to 5 for safety margin with other loads on the circuit). Consult a licensed electrician for final circuit design in commercial facilities.
Q: What controller modes are available, and what UIS controllers is the CLOUDLINE S10 compatible with?
A: The CLOUDLINE S10 ships with a wired 10-speed controller that provides ten discrete speed levels for manual airflow management. For automated operation, the fan is compatible with all AC Infinity UIS-platform smart controllers, which enable intelligent programming including scheduled speed changes, sensor-triggered responses (temperature, humidity, VPD), and multi-device coordination through the UIS ecosystem. UIS controllers are sold separately. The backup memory function retains the last active speed setting through power interruptions regardless of whether the included controller or a UIS controller is in use.
Q: What is the recommended mounting configuration for the CLOUDLINE S10 in a sealed cultivation room?
A: The CLOUDLINE S10 is designed for inline duct mounting in a 10-inch duct run. The fan unit dimensions are 9.81 x 15.20 x 11.30 inches (24.9 x 38.6 x 28.6 cm), with a mounting hole-to-hole distance of 5.90 x 5.90 inches (15.0 x 15.0 cm) and a screw hole diameter of 0.472 inches (1.2 cm). The unit should be mounted on a structurally adequate support — ceiling joists, unistrut, or purpose-built duct hangers rated for the fan's weight. Ensure the duct connections are sealed to prevent air leakage, which reduces effective CFM delivery. The motor box can be detached from the mounted frame for maintenance without disturbing the duct installation.
Q: What airflow does the CLOUDLINE S10 deliver, and how does it perform under high static pressure?
A: The CLOUDLINE S10 delivers 1,201 CFM of total airflow through a 10-inch duct. The mixed-flow impeller design — incorporating stator blades and hydrodynamic wind circles — maintains this airflow performance against static pressure up to 1,059 Pa. This is the critical performance characteristic for sealed cultivation rooms with carbon filter assemblies, long duct runs, or multiple directional changes: the fan sustains throughput where standard axial designs lose significant CFM as resistance increases. Noise level is rated at 48 dBA even under high static pressure conditions.
Q: What is the service life of the CLOUDLINE S10, and what maintenance does it require?
A: The CLOUDLINE S10 carries an L10 life expectancy of 67,000 hours per manufacturer specification, based on its dual ball bearing construction. L10 life means 90% of units will reach 67,000 hours of operation before bearing failure — at 24/7 continuous operation, that equates to approximately 7.6 years. Maintenance requirements are minimal: periodic cleaning of the impeller and blades is recommended to maintain rated CFM performance. The motor box containing the impeller and blades detaches from the mounted frame without removing the fan from the duct, simplifying cleaning access. No lubrication or bearing service is required during the rated service life.
Q: What is the warranty on the CLOUDLINE S10, and how do I initiate a claim through Cannafull Spectrum Solutions?
