The Environment Doesn't Control Itself
Every uncontrolled variable inside a cultivation enclosure is a compounding liability. Light contamination during dark cycles disrupts photoperiod integrity and triggers stress responses that reduce output quality. Structural flex in undersized poles allows canopy sag under loaded hanging bars, shifting light distribution and creating uneven zones. Zipper failures and poorly sealed duct ports become atmospheric dead zones — humidity stratifies, CO2 gradients form, and temperature uniformity collapses. The enclosure that was supposed to isolate your environment becomes the primary source of variance. These are not edge cases; they are the predictable failure modes of equipment built to a lower standard, and they accumulate silently across every cycle.
After deploying the CLOUDLAB 866, the enclosure becomes a controlled atmospheric boundary rather than a liability. Six plants in 5-gallon containers operate under a sealed, lightproof canopy where every input — light schedule, humidity, temperature, CO2 — is governed by the operator rather than by structural gaps. The observation window at 13.78" x 47.24" provides a full canopy view without breaking the climate seal. Controller integration through the dedicated mounting plate with lightproof cable passthrough means automation hardware connects cleanly without creating ingress points. The environment holds because the enclosure is engineered to hold it.
The mechanism behind that stability is material and structural specification. The frame is constructed from 22 mm diameter steel poles — 22% larger in cross-section than the 18 mm standard found in most competitive enclosures — delivering a 300 lb total frame load capacity with a 250 lb beam weight capacity across 3 primary hanging bars plus 1 additional bar. The canvas is 2000D Mylar, the thickest density rating in the category, with a 500G light-proof layer and a diamond-patterned interior lining lab-tested via Agilent UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer for maximum reflectivity. Atmospheric management is served by two 4-inch duct openings and five 8-inch duct openings, plus rear intake holes at 5.90" x 13.77" (15.0 x 35.0 cm) and side intake holes at 5.90" x 13.77" (15.0 x 35.0 cm), accommodating full HVAC integration including humidifiers, heaters, and A/C units through the controller mounting plate's additional duct ports. In practical terms, the CLOUDLAB 866 delivers a 100% lightproof, 300 lb-rated sealed cultivation enclosure across a 59.05" x 59.05" x 78.74" footprint with a 2000D diamond Mylar interior and seven total duct openings for complete atmospheric control.
Where This Belongs (and Doesn't)
Electrical and HVAC connections to this enclosure must be performed by a licensed contractor in accordance with local codes. Duct port sizing and controller wiring must comply with applicable facility electrical standards. Cannafull Spectrum Solutions does not provide installation services.
Optimal Deployment Environments
- Dedicated cultivation rooms with controlled HVAC requiring a sealed 25 sq ft canopy zone
- Basement or interior-room multi-tent operations where light isolation between zones is operationally critical
- Craft facilities running automated environmental controllers requiring clean cable passthrough and dedicated mounting surfaces
- Operations cycling 6 plants in 5-gallon containers requiring a 300 lb-rated overhead suspension system
- Facilities integrating humidifiers, heaters, or A/C units through dedicated duct ports on the controller mounting plate
Not Recommended For
- Operations requiring a footprint larger than 59.05" x 59.05" — see CLOUDLAB 811 or 894 for expanded configurations
- Facilities where ceiling height restricts deployment of a 78.74" (200 cm) tall enclosure
- Environments without dedicated ventilation infrastructure — the seven duct openings require active airflow management to function as designed
- Applications requiring dual-chamber or divided canopy configurations — see CLOUDLAB 632D, 743D, or 864D series
How It Works
The CLOUDLAB 866 operates as a sealed atmospheric enclosure through the coordinated function of four engineered subsystems: structural frame, canvas shell, optical interior, and atmospheric interface. Each subsystem is specified to eliminate a distinct failure mode rather than to meet a minimum threshold.
Structural Frame: The 22 mm diameter steel poles provide the primary load-bearing architecture. At 22 mm, the pole cross-section is measurably larger than the 18 mm standard used in most competitive enclosures, reducing flex under loaded hanging bars. The frame supports a total load capacity of 300 lbs with a beam weight capacity of 250 lbs distributed across 3 primary hanging bars and 1 additional bar. Reinforced tent corners distribute stress at the highest-load junction points, preventing deformation under sustained equipment weight. The steel controller plate provides a rigid, dedicated mounting surface for environmental automation hardware.
Canvas Shell: The outer shell is Oxford fabric. The canvas itself is 2000D Mylar — the highest density rating in the category — with a 500G light-proof layer providing 100% external lightproof performance. Front zipper flaps add a secondary barrier at the highest-risk light ingress point. SBS zippers are specified for operational durability and ease of access without compromising the seal. The result is a canvas assembly that maintains photoperiod integrity across the full dark cycle without requiring supplemental blackout measures.
Optical Interior: The interior lining is a diamond-patterned Mylar design, lab-tested using an Agilent UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer to verify maximum light reflectivity. The diamond pattern increases the effective reflective surface area relative to a flat Mylar lining, redirecting photons that would otherwise be absorbed by the wall back into the canopy. The spill tray is constructed with a reflective waterproof lining, maintaining the optical environment at the floor level while providing liquid containment.
Atmospheric Interface: Seven duct openings — two 4-inch and five 8-inch — provide configurable airflow routing for intake, exhaust, and supplemental climate equipment. The rear intake hole measures 5.90" x 13.77" (15.0 x 35.0 cm); the side intake hole measures 5.90" x 13.77" (15.0 x 35.0 cm). The controller mounting plate includes a lightproof cable passthrough and additional duct ports specifically sized for humidifiers, heaters, and A/C units, enabling full atmospheric automation without creating uncontrolled light or air gaps. The observation window at 13.78" x 47.24" (35.0 x 120.0 cm) allows full canopy inspection without opening the primary access panel. In practical terms, the CLOUDLAB 866 integrates a 300 lb steel frame, 2000D lightproof canvas, lab-verified diamond Mylar interior, and seven duct openings into a 59.05" x 59.05" x 78.74" sealed enclosure rated for 6 plants in 5-gallon containers.

Operator Field Notes
- Duct Port Allocation: With five 8-inch and two 4-inch openings, operators running a single inline fan and carbon filter still have three to four 8-inch ports available for passive intake, supplemental CO2 routing, or sensor cable management — plan port allocation before installation to avoid field modifications.
- Hanging Bar Load Distribution: The 250 lb beam weight capacity is distributed across 3 primary bars plus 1 extra bar. When suspending a full-spectrum LED fixture plus driver plus supplemental bar, verify combined weight against the per-bar load rating rather than the total frame capacity to avoid point-load stress on individual connection nodes.
- Zipper Maintenance: SBS zippers maintain seal integrity over extended operational cycles, but periodic lubrication with a dry zipper lubricant (not petroleum-based) extends service life and prevents binding under repeated daily access.
- Controller Plate Integration: The lightproof cable passthrough on the controller mounting plate is designed for clean integration with environmental automation hardware. Route all sensor and power cables through this point rather than improvising gaps at duct openings to maintain the 100% lightproof rating during dark cycles.
- Spill Tray Inspection: The reflective waterproof spill tray should be inspected for standing water after each irrigation event. Prolonged standing water at the base of the canvas can wick into the lower canvas seam over time; drain and dry the tray as part of standard post-irrigation protocol.
- Observation Window Protocol: The 13.78" x 47.24" window provides full canopy visibility without opening the main access panel. Use this as the primary inspection point during active dark cycles to maintain photoperiod integrity — opening the main zipper during dark periods is the most common source of unintended light exposure in sealed enclosure operations.
Operator FAQ
Q: What is the actual interior usable footprint of the CLOUDLAB 866, and how does it differ from the listed dimensions?
A: The listed dimensions of 59.05" x 59.05" x 78.74" (150 x 150 x 200 cm) represent the exterior frame dimensions. Interior usable footprint will be marginally smaller due to canvas wall thickness and corner pole placement. For container spacing planning, operators should use the exterior dimension as a conservative reference and verify interior clearance against their specific container and training system dimensions before finalizing plant layout.
Q: How does the 22 mm pole diameter affect structural performance compared to standard 18 mm poles?
A: The 22 mm diameter steel poles provide a larger cross-sectional area than the 18 mm poles used in most competitive enclosures, which directly reduces lateral flex under loaded hanging bars. This matters operationally because pole flex under heavy LED fixtures and carbon filter assemblies can shift the canvas geometry, creating gaps at zipper seams and corner junctions that compromise the lightproof seal. The 300 lb total frame load capacity and 250 lb beam weight capacity are the measurable outputs of this structural specification.
Q: What does the 2000D canvas density rating mean in practical terms, and why does it matter for sealed operations?
A: The "D" designation refers to Denier, a unit measuring the linear mass density of fibers — a higher Denier number indicates a denser, heavier weave. At 2000D, the CLOUDLAB 866 canvas is the thickest density rating available in the grow tent category. In practical terms, higher Denier canvas resists puncture, abrasion, and seam stress more effectively than lower-density alternatives, and it provides a more robust substrate for the 500G light-proof layer that delivers the 100% external lightproof rating. For sealed operations where photoperiod integrity is non-negotiable, canvas density is a direct determinant of long-term seal reliability.
Q: Can the controller mounting plate accommodate third-party environmental controllers, or is it specific to AC Infinity hardware?
A: The steel controller mounting plate is a structural mounting surface with a lightproof cable passthrough and additional duct ports. While it is designed to integrate with AC Infinity's UIS controller ecosystem, the mounting surface and cable passthrough are not proprietary to AC Infinity hardware dimensions. Operators using third-party environmental controllers should verify their controller's mounting footprint against the plate dimensions before assuming compatibility. The duct ports on the plate are sized for humidifiers, heaters, and A/C units regardless of brand.
Q: How was the diamond Mylar interior tested, and what does the Agilent UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer test verify?
A: The interior Mylar lining was lab-tested using an Agilent UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer, an instrument that measures the reflectance of a material across the ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared spectrum. This test verifies that the diamond-patterned Mylar achieves maximum light reflectivity across the wavelengths relevant to photosynthetically active radiation. The diamond pattern increases effective reflective surface area compared to a flat Mylar lining, redirecting photons back into the canopy rather than absorbing them at the wall surface. The test result supports the manufacturer's claim of highest light reflectivity among grow tents in the category.
Q: What duct port configuration is available, and how should operators plan their airflow routing?
A: The CLOUDLAB 866 provides seven total duct openings: two 4-inch openings and five 8-inch openings. Additionally, the rear intake hole measures 5.90" x 13.77" (15.0 x 35.0 cm) and the side intake hole measures 5.90" x 13.77" (15.0 x 35.0 cm). The controller mounting plate provides additional duct ports for climate equipment. A standard configuration for a sealed operation would route the primary exhaust fan and carbon filter through one 8-inch port, passive or active intake through one or two additional 8-inch ports, and reserve the 4-inch ports for sensor cables or secondary equipment. Operators should map their full equipment list against available ports before assembly to avoid field modifications that could compromise the lightproof seal.
