How It Works

The TSL-2000 is built around a BridgeLux diode array configured in a bar-style form factor measuring 40 x 10 x 2.5 inches. The bar layout distributes photon output laterally across the canopy rather than concentrating it at a central point, which is the primary architectural reason the fixture achieves uniform coverage across a 2x4 ft flower footprint without requiring supplemental side lighting. The foldable design allows the fixture to be adjusted for mounting geometry and packed efficiently for multi-unit deployments.

The spectral architecture covers four channels: 660-665nm red, 730-740nm far-red, 3000-3200K warm white, and 6000-6500K cool white. The red channel drives photosynthetic efficiency at the chlorophyll absorption peak. The far-red channel at 730-740nm activates the Emerson enhancement effect, increasing the quantum yield of photosynthesis when combined with the red channel. The warm and cool white channels fill the mid-spectrum range — blue, green, and orange — that supports canopy penetration, stomatal regulation, and secondary metabolite expression. Operator Field Notes

• Dimming requires the MarsPro app or the separately purchased iConnect dimmer box. The iTime Dual-Plug Timer supports photoperiod scheduling but does not pass dimming commands — plan your control architecture before deployment if intensity adjustment during the cycle is a requirement.
• The 3x5 ft vegetative footprint and 2x4 ft flower footprint are distinct operating configurations. Mounting height and canopy management should be adjusted when transitioning between growth stages to maintain target PPFD at the canopy surface.
• Passive cooling means no fan maintenance, but thermal load is real. Each unit outputs 1023 BTU/hr — account for this in room-level HVAC sizing, particularly in sealed or insulated environments where heat accumulates.
• Daisy-chain control is the correct architecture for multi-unit rooms. Running units independently without linking them through the daisy-chain system eliminates the ability to synchronize intensity adjustments across the canopy — a meaningful operational disadvantage in production environments.
• Universal voltage input (AC100-277V) removes the need for step-down transformers in facilities wired at 240V or 277V, reducing installation complexity and potential failure points in the electrical supply chain.
• The 2.3 g/W maximum yield figure is a manufacturer-rated ceiling, not a guaranteed output. Achieving it requires dialed environmental controls, appropriate genetics, and optimized nutrient programs operating in parallel with the lighting system.
